Biography

About Martha:

Martha paints many subjects ranging from Americana and the cowboys to the American
West. Working in a realistic style, each of Martha’s paintings reflect the countless hours
of research and planning that is required before she begins to paint. Her in-depth
research into authentic situations is fueled by numerous cowboy gatherings and
modeling sessions. Her painting of real subjects recreates American history and heritage.
“I have a real appreciation for the old west and like to think I capture the western
lifestyle in each painting I create”. All of Martha’s paintings tell you a story, a recreation
of history.
Martha was recently honored to paint portraits of America’s service men and women
who have died in Afghanistan and Iraq. “Faces of the Fallen” was displayed at Arlington
National Cemetery. Martha’s paintings are part of many prestigious collections and have
been represented in many major exhibitions.
